Salgados Description

The 18 hole Salgados Golf Course set on the flat lands behind the sandy beach of Praia de Gale. The environmental nature of the course is to associate it with a typical Links Course but with the added asset of the sun. It is very open to the elements with little vegetation and lots of water hazards. It requires a technically skilled player to achieve a good result from a round which can often be influenced by the prevailing onshore breeze.

A very long course with very little shade Recommended morning tee only Staff really friendly Ice bucket on buggies - Drink served to you on the course 👌🏼 Buggies needed!!!

Great course. Excellent greens. Fairways were solid and the rough and fairways were well cut and maintained. We liked how there was no wild long grasses/rough throughout the course. So, if you missed the water, you had your ball. Some rough muddy areas (away from fairways) was to be expected down by the sea. Windy on the day but dry. Water on most holes but well sign posted and a good challenge. Relatively flat course with no hills. Rental clubs weren't top spec and a bit battered but golf cart and all else very good.
