Golf in Vilamoura

The Vilamoura Resort is the name given to an area rather than to any actual town. It is outstanding in that it is one of the largest single tourist complexes in Europe and covers some 2.000 hectares of land. Due to the size of Vilamoura it offers the visitor nearly every form of sport and entertainment and to on its southern border is a long sandy beach.

Facilities include six golf courses, a Boat Marina, a Lawn Bowling Club, a Tennis Centre, a Sports Club, a Shooting Club, 5-star and 4-star Hotels, Tourist Apartments, self-catering Villas, Night Clubs, a Casino with glamorous shows and a Horse Riding School. Around the Marina are many shops, bars and restaurants offering different cuisines.

There are six challenging courses in the Resort area. These are the championship Victoria Golf Course, the Millennium Golf Course, the Pinhal Golf Course and the Laguna Golf Course. Attached to the Resort is the 27-hole Vila sol Golf Course.

Beautiful course. 1st flight of the day, due to our quicker normal pace of play we never saw the drinks cart a did catch up the ground staff (2ball finished in 3hours). Facilities were great, staff were friendly.

Had a really good afternoon on Vila Sol. Booked a twilight so supposed to be out at 1658 . . .but they let me go at 1500! Superb staff and so friendly. Not been at Vila.Sol for many years. Really loved it. Can't wait to book another round there soon.

Immense!!
Simply stunning! The whole experience of the Old Course was amazing. From the moment we arrived it just felt like another level. Impeccable customer service. Immaculate greens and fairways and top notch facilities. Elevated greens and some amazing tee box placements make for a challenging but fair experience. This place is a must visit for all golfers.
